What you may do with the designs

License – one store per design package

The designs are licensed, not sold to you outright, and that is true whether you bought them or earned them here. One store, and everything else is yours to change.

One license, one store

Getting the designs this way licenses them for one Shopify store: the one you started through the link in your account. It is not a license for every store you may ever run. A second store needs its own license, and that one is for sale.

This is the same rule that applies to somebody who paid for them. The route in differs; what you may do with the files does not.

What the license allows

  • Install every one of the 3 designs on the one store the license covers.
  • Build on a development, staging or preview store first. That is not a second store, it is the same one on its way to launch.
  • Change anything you like: colors, type, imagery, content, products, layouts and the code.
  • Sell your own products commercially from that store, with no revenue limit and no attribution.
  • Re-download the files and every release included, for as long as the store is yours.

What the license does not allow

  • Using one license on more than one store.
  • Using it on a client’s store. Client work is allowed under a bought license, one per store, not under a free one.
  • Sharing, reselling, redistributing or publishing the files, in whole or in part.
  • Passing your account access to someone else so they can download the package.

The full license lives in one place. This page is the short version for the free route; everything above and the cases it does not cover are set out at horizonbyrobbin.com/license/, and that page is the one that counts. Kept in one place on purpose: two copies of a license drift apart, and then nobody knows which one applies.

If the designs are withdrawn

Acting in bad faith, for instance creating stores only to collect the package or connecting a store you do not run, ends the license along with the account. Nothing else does. A license granted in good faith stays granted.
